We’ve looked at energy consumption and viewing angle in the LED vs plasma debate, and now we are going to look at price and value. It may be too soon to have this conversation, but we know that many people are concerned about not spending too much on a television that’s going to be outdated in a few short months. So, while there are other aspects we are going to cover, we are now going to have a quick look at the price difference between LED and plasma.
LED vs Plasma: Price Winner
Hands down, plasma is the winner when it comes to price in 2010. LED LCD technology is relatively new – with smaller components and overall size – which leads to a higher price as people scramble to have the latest and greatest.
LED vs Plasma: Value Winner
On the other hand, because LED is newer technology (and has less power consumption), it may be the overall winner when it comes to value. For the money, you’re going to get more television if you go with plasma – at least when it comes to size. Expect to be able to get a few more inches for the same price as an LED HDTV with a plasma HDTV purchase.
Plasma vs LED: The Battle Continues
Of course, you are going to want to take into account many other factors – the size of the room the television is going to be in, whether you’re going to be watching movies in the dark or in a brightly lit room, as well as other considerations. Hopefully, however, we have been able to help clear up some things if savings is biggest on your mind.
If you want a big television for the upcoming football season and want to save money, plasma television is the way to go. In addition, the great viewing angles available on plasma televisions will enable you to invite over a room full of friends to enjoy the large screen.

where does the liquid come into play for said liquid crystal display?
Watched 1 trough 4. You have done a great job in reducing energy consumption and associated costs. There are ways to generate energy and reduce the costs even more, but they will require more changes around the house: plumbing and sewage system, installing methane burner in kitchen, switching to fluorescent and CFL light, vertical wind turbine in backyard…
