. Lot's of luck, Chuck, on getting a timely Answer on YA.
Maybe spend less time on the 'puter, and more reading the textbook.

Well, the genocide in Rwanda really happened, if that's what you mean? Even after a dozen years, we in the West get only glimpses into the happenings of the Rwanda Genocide, and even fewer in the Western World even attempt to understand the reasons for it. In just 100 days, over 1 million Tutsis and Moderate Hutus were killed while the world looked the other way. The film reflects this fact very well, while at the same time it showed that there were some (such as Debra Winger's character) in the West who tried everything to help but could do nothing. She wasn't alone is her attempts to bring recognition to this devastated area of the world.

You want to play avi files on your TV ?
Can I recommend getting a Media player, They play almost every file imaginable
I bought a Patriot Box Office for $99 includes the HDMI cable and a Wi Fi adapter
you can send the files directly from your computer to your TV through your Wi Fi in your home
You can also run a cable or just put your USB drive into the patriot box and watch your movie.
I have over 200 movies and Documentaries I watch them all on my Plasma TV.
I am only telling you this because I was doing the same thing as you, and I didn't even know about
these Media Players until I went to some Torrent Forum and started seeing all the poeple talking about how well these thing work….Not only for Video , Music , Pictures every format…Even .mkv or HD Blu-ray files .
Here are some of the specs
Audio Decoding – WMA, MP3, Real Audio (RA)
Image Decoding – JPEG, BMP, PNG
    Video Decoding – *[MPEG-1] MPG/MPEG/DAT
    *[MPEG-2] MPG/MPEG/VOB/ISO /IFO/TS/TP/M2TS
    *[MPEG-4] MP4/AVI/MOV
    *[H.264/AVC] MKV/TS/AVI/MOV/M2TS
    *[DviX 3/4/5/6, Xvid] AVI/MKV
    *[WMV9] WMV
    *[FLV] FLV

There' s a few Makers of this, for some reason its mostly the Computer hardware manufacturing companies that are making the better units …..Western Digital, Asus, Seagate , Viewsonic , All make good Players ……Hope thats helps you save $$$$ and get a better TV without all the apps.
